The Honeywell Orbit™ HF680 is an elegant, high-performance hands-free on-counter 2D area-imaging barcode scanner engineered for high-throughput retail checkout, convenience stores, pharmacies, and specialty boutiques. Combining a modern, space-saving vertical form factor with Honeywell's megapixel area-imaging technology and a powerful 1 GHz processor, the Orbit HF680 effortlessly reads 1D and 2D barcodes—even on damaged, poorly printed, or reflective smartphone screens—keeping checkout lines moving fast while presenting a stylish appearance on the counter.
Key Enterprise Features
- High-Speed Megapixel 2D Scanning: Powered by a 1-megapixel area-imaging sensor (1280 × 800) and a high-speed 1 GHz processor, delivering rapid first-pass decoding of standard 1D, PDF417, and 2D matrix symbologies.
- Aggressive Motion Tolerance (2.5 m/s): Exceptional motion tolerance of up to 2.5 m/s (98.4 in/s) for 13 mil UPC codes enables cashiers to continuously swipe items across the scan window without hesitating or aligning barcodes.
- Superior Digital Screen Decoding: Effortlessly captures digital loyalty codes, mobile payment wallets (Alipay, WeChat Pay, Apple Pay), e-coupons, and mobile boarding passes directly from customer smartphone screens without glare reflection.
- Eye-Comfort Soft White LED Illumination: Features an engineered recessed LED array casting gentle white illumination that eliminates cashier and shopper eye strain without compromising read range or depth of field.
- Modern Ergonomic Styling with Adjustable Tilt: Compact footprint fits easily into tight cashier counters; features an adjustable scanning head with 0° to 10° tilt range to accommodate diverse counter heights and item sizes.
- Seamless POS Integration: Supports plug-and-play USB interfaces and compatibility with OPOS/JPOS drivers; easily configured via Honeywell EZConfig barcode setup utility.
