Unlike handheld scanners with fluctuating operator speeds and angles, the PC-Scan LD4 maintains an unyielding, standardized optical geometry: a constant 45° laser illumination angle, a 90° sensor reception angle, and a strictly fixed measuring distance across the entire scan width (available in 133 mm or 220 mm models). Before every single measurement, the device performs fully automated contrast calibration against internal reference standards. Operating via Power over Ethernet (PoE) and driven by the comprehensive REA TransWin32 software, the PC-Scan LD4 captures full Scan Reflectance Profiles (SRP), precise bar growth/shrinkage calculations, and verified GS1 Application Identifiers for ultimate peace of mind.
