Equipped with a point-and-shoot non-contact 660 nm visible red laser scanner, the Laser Inspector 1000 offers fast, convenient verification without dragging an optical wand or contact head across wet inks or uneven surfaces.
The unit follows ISO 15416 and ANSI X3.182 inspection guidelines for decodability, alongside comprehensive Traditional Analysis parameters including dimensional bar width deviations, print gain / print loss calculation, wide-to-narrow bar ratios, and check digit validation. Diagnostic readings appear immediately on an alphanumeric 4-line × 8-character (32 characters total) liquid crystal display (LCD), supported by 5 color-coded LEDs (two red, one yellow, two green) and distinct audible alert beeps for instantaneous pass/fail grading. Inspection records can be stored in an internal memory buffer and output to an optional portable direct thermal printer for certified physical record-keeping.
Application Note: The Laser Inspector 1000 is engineered specifically for existing Laser Inspector 1000 installations or specialized applications requiring Code 93 verification. For general new linear barcode inspection requiring full ISO/ANSI profile parameter grading (including modulation, defects, and reflectance), the RJS Inspector D4000 or Inspector 5000 series is recommended.
